Amethyst
A purple to lavender stone that we source from east Africa; amethyst is the most highly valued of the quartz group. Its name comes from the Greek and means ‘not drunken’ as it was worn as an amulet against drunkenness. It is said to be calming and to have strong healing powers and can be used to aid insomnia and strengthen the immune system.
